San Giusto Tournament 2026

“The Città di San Giusto tournament is a historic event that represents not only the celebration of sport, but also a symbol of unity, commitment and friendship. Trieste, with its history, culture and beauty, offers the ideal setting to welcome talented athletes and many fans.” With these words, San Luigi president Ezio Peruzzo presented the 33rd edition of the Città di San Giusto, one of the most important and long-standing football events organised in Friuli Venezia Giulia, scheduled for tomorrow (Saturday 11 April) and Sunday 12 April on the Via Felluga pitch. Supported by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Municipality of Trieste and dedicated to the Giovanissimi youth category, this year the tournament features prestigious clubs such as Juventus, Fiorentina, Udinese, Venezia, together with international sides such as Red Star Belgrade, Kustosija of Zagreb and Olimpija Ljubljana, plus hosts San Luigi. Alongside Trieste City Councillor Elisa Lodi, Regional Councillor Fabio Scoccimarro was also present at the press conference. “San Luigi represents a model of sports management, founded on solid bases and authentic values. For over thirty years – he recalled – it has brought the best of youth football to Trieste, helping to grow not only sporting talent but also responsible citizens. A commitment that deserves recognition from the institutions and the entire community.” The tournament opens tomorrow at 9 with the match between San Luigi and Red Star. At 12 the green-and-whites will take on Juventus, while defending champions Venezia will face Udinese at 11:15 and Fiorentina at 12:45.
